VBLS is the biggest and oldest beach service in the State of Virginia. We employ 200 seasonal lifeguards, the largest professional lifeguard staff in Virginia. We protect more lives than any other beach service. A surveillance stand strategy is in place as the foundation of our preventative lifesaving philosophy. VBLS operates 58 stands which are strategically placed and numbered to insure maximum safety benefit.
We have the best equipment in VA Beach. VBLS operates:
